The Godly Play Blog
The Godly Play Blog
At Holy Cross, children are valued and nurtured. Desiring a Godly Play Program that modeled these core essentials, we created our first Godly Play Room in 2004. (Pictured here is Martha, our Associate Rector, with two of our Godly Play Kids). In Fall 2009, we created our second classroom, which calls for another full set of Godly Play materials – in steps the Garage Shop Ministry!
There are a few places to purchase resources for this approach; just Google “Godly Play” to view the list. I started this blog because every week, I receive emails from people asking about the creation of new stories. Whenever I have a new story available for commission, I can now post it in the Garage Shop Ministries blog. If you subscribe to the RSS feed above, you will be apprised of what’s new! (To actually subscribe, you must click one of the action items on the right hand side of the screen that the RSS Subscribe button takes you to).
If your faith community needs Godly Play resources, please feel to contact us and we’ll be happy to see if we can help. The demand has become so great that in order to keep up, we have recently recruited some parishioners for this ministry. Please note: we do not sell Godly Play resources, but we do occasionally accept commissioned work for material cost only. For details, see the Commissions page.
Blessings,
Mark
P.S. Please feel free to leave comments, we welcome them and please use the email link on the commissions page to inquire about a commission and not the comments section of each blog post. You can visit the shop at garageshop.org
